FIRAPY exhibited in the America Podiatric Medical Association conference 2019 for the first time.
FIRAPY came to the annual APMA (America Podiatric Medical Association) conference this year, which was held in Salt Lake City, UT from July 11~July 13. It’s the first time FIRAPY attends APMA, our first step into the area of Podiatry. In the USA, Podiatry has a well-developed system over one hundred years history and it can deal with problems of patient’s feet, like hammertoe, diabetic feet, or wounds.
FIRAPY, in east Asia, has excellent experience with foot care and wound care. In Taiwan, from ten years ago, FIRAPY was applied by the division of plastic surgery or the center for wound repair and regeneration as an adjunctive treatment for the hard-to-heal wounds. In the department of cardiology, FIRAPY is also applied to treat ulcerative wounds caused by PAOD (Peripheral Arterial Occlusive Disease). The application of FIRAPY is not limited to Taiwan. From 2018, over 100 dialysis centers in Japan have used FIRAPY to improve the circulation of dialysis patients’ feet and to prevent the patients’ condition worsens.

In this conference, the limbic ischemia and relative problems are the important issues concerned by the podiatrists, who attended the conference. FIRAPY showed the experience and clinical cases of foot care in east Asia. For podiatrists, FIRAPY is a novel treatment for foot care and wound care in the USA.
The podiatrists at our booth, all of them are curious why gentle phototherapy can offer excellent and amazing effects. Therefore, FIRAPY made quite an impact and warm response between podiatrists. These reactions from professionals are the biggest gain of this APMA conference.
